Neil Hanna is one of New Zealand's leading artists in jade and opal.
Neil trained as a jeweller in both New Zealand and London.
He is a qualified gemologist and has carved in jade and other stones for many years.
His interest in the art of Lapidary and his specialist stone carving skills have evolved as a major focus in his jewellery. Materials such as nephrite, jade, opal, lapis-lazuli, mother-of -pearl and 18ct gold are incorporated in his unique designs.
Reflecting the high appeal and quality of Neil Hanna designs, numerous commissioned pieces have been presented to the rich and famous. Included in the list of recipients of his work are members of the British royal family, Bill Clinton, Nelson Mandela, Kiri Te Kanawa as well as Prime Ministers and many esteemed visitors to New Zealand.
